Our Students Play a vital role in taking part in intramural, inter collegiate and inter university tournaments. competitions are being conducted every year and for the past three years, an average of eight students have been representing Thiruvalluvar University on getting prizes in inter-state matches and events. Our college also conducts Inter Divisional matches in our college campus.

Our College is situated in a rural area. Most of the students hail from tiny hamlets with no access to sports facilities. Our aim is to inculcate the sporting spirit in them by giving opportunities to play inter-collegiate and inter-university tournaments and place them at National level.

History
The Department of physics was established in the year 2005. Right from the inception the department has steadily grown in all spheres. The Department of physics is providing excellent lab facilities and coaching for the students. Seminars are organised for the students to update their knowledge about the recent fields like nanotechnology. Industrial visits are organised once in an year to visit reputed industries to enhance the knowledge of the students.

History
Microbiology department was established in 1997. The Department offers UG Degree in Micro-Biology and PG Degree in Applied Microbiology from the academic year 2009 since then has made significant advancements in almost every sphere of academics as well as research. At present the department consists of total five faculty members and two non teaching staff.

To be a Department of Excellence recognised nationally and internationally for clinical microbiology, education, training and research. To conduct innovative and relevant research enabling the development, conveying and application of knowledge to further the science and practice of Medical microbiology and Microbial biotechnology, to provide opportunities for students to secure Apprenticeship in industries and service agencies
